Howdy Y'all,

Talk about partyin' hard! Boy, Saturday was the day for it. With a nice cool breeze and overcast skies, Carrot Island was definitely the place to be! Now, le'me see...; guess we first need to check out the pics to really get a good view of the day. Woo hoo, did ya' ever see anything like it?? Richard, is that you?!? (If you're in the pics, bet ya' can't believe it's really you, can ya'??) Now, if you had to miss this party, you certainly missed a grand ol' time! I must say, the evidence is in the pics!!

We started gatherin' 'bout 10 in the mornin' 'n partied hard as we could, long as we could! The water taxi service was much appreciated by those in need of water transportation. But wait, who is that walkin' in on piggy back? Well, I never...I do believe it's Gary 'n Fred! (Now these are s'posed to be grown men, you say...) The guys struggled a bit with Larry's tent but it was well worth their efforts, keeping the dogs 'n fixin's safe from the elements. David, you 'n your helpers sure cooked up some mighty fine dogs! To the ladies who brought desserts, "Many thanks to you", 'specially the birthday cakes for Bill 'n Bob! (How high is your number now, guys?? Don't blame you; I wouldn't tell that either!)

Would we ever be without our sweet beach music?? No, indeed! Johnny with his generator, and Butch with his boom box and (as Charlie would say) "flat friends", we were set for the day with a wonderful background for frolic, fun,'n fellowship!! Such comradery you aren't likely to find many places. Oh, 'n say "Howdy" the next time you see Joy Hewett and Jeff Militano, two guests who had so much fun they couldn't resist family membership! "WELCOME Y'ALL".

What better way to spend a summer day than sittin', sunnin', 'n sippin', with the best of friends. Lee can tell us just how great it is as Steve passes her 'spirits' from Bob's 'Drink of the Day' jug! Yes, indeed... Life is good!!!
