At mile marker 15 we had a wonderful day. About 60 shag members enjoyed beautiful sunny weather, good friends, games, and great food. Why we had so much fun we had On-lookers asking to join the shag club. As Robert E. Lee would say we had a Part_y!

The combination of two D.J’s, hamburgers, hotdogs all the fixings and delicious desserts, Friends, beautiful weather and all the cool aide you could want made for a great day at the beach. We played games like walk the bananas, roll the orange and pass the hoop. I think those that watched according to the laughter had even more fun than those actually Playing the games. In all I would say that A Day at the Beach was a Great success.

A special thanks to all those that cooked/set up tents & chairs/and brought food & helped with the clean up. Thanks to all participants that made our Day at the Beach another memorable day.

Howdy Y'all,

Well, sometimes we just can't do all the things we want to do 'cause we have to set priorities, 'n you know, family must come first. Now I understand what it's like to know all of you are partyin' down without me (boo hoo)... Oh, I did so hate to miss A Day at the Beach!! However, my partners in crime, Bob (pics) 'n Bill (article) were right there havin' just about more fun than they could handle! I was able to get there to say "Hello" for 'bout an hour 'n judgin' by the looks 'a things, I did really miss a large time! I must say a huge "Thank you" to the entire Social Committee and everyone who helped in any way with this party. Judgin' by the comments I've heard, 'n Bob's pics I see, 'n Bill's article I read, Y'ALL DID HAVE A GOOOOOD TIME!!!
